It is called the Precision Rifle Compensator or PRC for short. It's designed primarily for precision bolt action rifles chambered for any of the .30 cal and .338 cal magnums including the popular .338 Lapua magnum. But it also works very well on heavy barreled semi-auto rifles and rifles chambered for non-magnums like the .308 Win or the .338 Federal. This compensator is a little larger than the FSC30 and provides for a very clean look on a heavy barreled rifle. It has 4 ports on each side that vent slightly upwards to very effectively eliminate dust signatures from the brake. It also has a large expansion chamber inside the brake and the unique PWS porting design that keeps blast and flash from the ports to a minimum. The threads are 5/8x24 right hand which is the most common thread for .30 cal rifles in the US. For those of you who have a European precision rifle that has the metric 18x1mm threads, we will soon be stocking another muzzle brake for those fine rifles.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.ontarget-blog.com/on-target-blog/2010/1/23/shot-show-2010-in-las-vegas.html"><rss:title>SHOT Show 2010 in Las Vegas</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.ontarget-blog.com/on-target-blog/2010/1/23/shot-show-2010-in-las-vegas.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>General Guns & The big Obama gun rush of 2009 seems to have leveled off a bit, but business remains very strong and optimism is high. I will be writing about some interesting products at the show in the coming weeks. (SEI) recently introduced a new muzzle brake called their AR10 brake. It will work well with any 7.62mm rifle with 5/8x24 threads. It is designed similarly to other SEI brakes such as their M14 USCG brake or their M1 Garand brake with the same general porting design. It threads onto the barrel and is tightened using a jam nut. Their previous designs have been very popular for years and have proven to be effective and the AR10 brake is already becoming a hit. We started stocking them this fall and there has been a lot of interest in them by shooters of .308 cal AR rifles and other military style rifles with 5/8 threads on the barrels.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.ontarget-blog.com/on-target-blog/2010/1/1/stainless-guide-rods-from-bedair-machine-works.html"><rss:title>Stainless Guide Rods from Bedair Machine Works</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.ontarget-blog.com/on-target-blog/2010/1/1/stainless-guide-rods-from-bedair-machine-works.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Hand guns Pistols</dc:subject>

We are now stocking solid stainless steel guide rods made by Steve Bedair at Bedair Machine Works. This baby provides everything you could want in a tactical AR-15 carbine for self defense, 3-gun competition or combat. For those of you who are familiar with the Primary Weapons original piston system, don't be confused, this is a totally new system. The gas system uses a very robust, AK style piston attached to the bolt carrier that moves with it, hence the long-stroke designation. This gives it many advantages over every other AR operating system. It has a smoother stroke and softer recoil impulse than either a short stroke piston system or a direct gas impingment system. It doesn't have the heat and carbon build up in the bolt and carrier like the direct gas system. And it also doesn't have the carrier tilt problems or extra parts and springs of the short stroke piston systems. Since the piston is connected to the carrier, it completely prevents any bolt carrier tilt which helps with wear and tear on the receiver and receiver extensions. It also has a longer dwell time which allows chamber pressures to drop, making extraction easier and smoother with less stress on the bolt parts. The forearm rail system is also totally new and is bolted directly to the barrel nut and gas block. It is a very clean, low profile design that provides excellent ventalation. It is mid-length which gives you plenty of room for whatever attachments you want to mount on it and maximum sight radius for your iron sights. It is also lower profile, lighter weight and stronger than most free-float arrangements. And no, it doesn't hurt your accuracy. Only top quality materials and components are used. It has a Daniel Defense cold hammer forged barrel with chrome lined bore, a Daniel Defense bolt/carrier group, the PWS gas piston, gas block, rail system, and FSC556 compensator, forged upper receiver and charging handle and Magpul XTM rail covers. The gas block and piston system are also QPQ coated for maximum lubricity, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. The bottom line is in the performance and it is outstanding! Not only is the recoil impulse very soft compared to other AR operating systems, but the accuracy with the Daniel Defense barrel is also outstanding. The gas system operates very cleanly with very little carbon buildup. Maintenance is very simple and normally only requires a wipe down of the bolt, carrier and piston and cleaning the bore. The gas tube can be swabbed out and wiped dry after approximately every 4,000-5,000 rounds. So for those shooters who are looking for the latest cutting edge design that is built for hard use with superior performance, take a good look at the new DC-16 upper. It is called the FSC-Custom. What makes it unique is that it uses thread adapters to fit several different thread patterns. Thread patterns available are 9/16x24 RH, 1/2x36 RH and 14x1mm RH. The FSC-C is patterned after the .30 caliber FSC30, but it is slightly narrower at .900" diameter. It is designed to work for calibers up to .30 cal. but it also works very well with 6.5mm and 6.8mm calibers. The 9/16x24 threads are most common on inch pattern FN FAL rifles, 6.5 Grendal ARs, and some M1As with direct connect threads instead of the standard M14 arrangement. The 1/2x36 threads are common on AR type rifles chambered for 7.62x39mm. Finally, the 14x1mm threads are common on many European tactical rifles like those from Sako and Tikka. One thread adapter is included with the FSC-Custom for the pattern of your choice. Another great thing about this unique design is that the back of the thread adapter is designed to act as a crush washer, so there is no need for additional washers to properly mount and index the compensator on your barrel. All in all, it is a great concept and it opens up the popular FSC muzzle brake design to a very wide variety of rifles.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.ontarget-blog.com/on-target-blog/2009/5/15/ar-10-fixed-stock-buffers-now-in-stock.html"><rss:title>AR-10 Fixed Stock buffers now in stock</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.ontarget-blog.com/on-target-blog/2009/5/15/ar-10-fixed-stock-buffers-now-in-stock.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Buffers Recoil Reducers Rifles</dc:subject>

The Enidine Hydraulic buffers for fixed stock AR-10 type rifles are now in stock at www.nokick.com and we have plenty of them.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.ontarget-blog.com/on-target-blog/2009/5/9/mossberg-recoil-stock-kits-from-mesa-tactical.html"><rss:title>Mossberg Recoil Stock Kits from Mesa Tactical</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.ontarget-blog.com/on-target-blog/2009/5/9/mossberg-recoil-stock-kits-from-mesa-tactical.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Recoil Reducers Shotguns Stocks</dc:subject>

The Low Tube Recoil Stock Kits from Mesa Tactical for the Mossberg 500/590/835 Shotguns have been in high demand this spring.
